When you place an order with us, either via the website or telephone, we pre-authorise your payment card. This means that we take the details and ask the bank to check there are available funds in the account to pay the amount shown on screen. At this point no payment is taken from you. Once your order has been accepted and is ready to ship we authorise the bank to charge your card for the agreed amount. Pre-authorisation is a great way to make sure that you only pay for goods when they are ready to ship and should you wish to cancel your order for any reason before we dispatch goods you won’t have to wait those few days for the refund to hit your bank account.
   

Next Day Delivery
1000’s of products on our website are available for delivery next working day as long as your order is received before 12 noon. If you wish to check on the estimated delivery time scale or stock status of any product on our website simply call, email or chat live online with us and we’ll tell you what to expect and when. Please note, due to the nature of some products we may need time to calibrate or complete custom work before dispatch - eg gas monitors (calibration) and some safety signs (custom manufactured)
   

Collect From Store
Construction Store is pleased to announce that you can now save again by collecting your order from one of our 93 stores around the UK. Simply call us to place your order and make payment then we’ll tell you which collection point is closest to your address. Your order will be ready to collect from store same or next day (in most cases) and we can contact you when goods are ready for collection, if you wish, to save you time. Please note: You will require an Order Collect Reference from us and some sort of photographic ID to collect goods. This is to protect our customers from fraud.
   

Price Match Promise
Seen an item on our website cheaper elsewhere? We offer a Price Match Promise which means if you can tell us where you have seen the item and at what price we will do our very best to match or beat the price quoted. As you would expect there are certain terms and conditions that apply to this which are as follows: The product is identical in make, model and specification. The product must be in stock and available for immediate delivery. We must be able to verify the offer. Ordered the wrong item by mistake? Product received not as expected? Changed your mind upon receipt? Don’t worry, we offer a 30 day “no quibble” money back guarantee. All we ask is that you notify us within 30 days of receiving your order that you would like the return an item in an unopened / unused condition. We will send you a goods return number (RMA number) and the returns address by email. Return packing and postage is the responsibility of the customer and once goods are received back we will credit your payment card with the value of the goods returned to us minus any shipping costs.
