    Have you complied with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005? The new Fire Safety Order which became effective from the 1st of October 2006, applies to all workplace premises in England and Wales. It requires the 'responsible person' for a building to conduct a risk assessment of the potential risk of fire and take steps to reduce or remove them. Obviously for an untrained person this is a daunting prospect. It can be time consuming and might not meet the legal requirements.
