Why are RidgeGear unique?

RidgeGear is supported by Marling Leek, Europe's market leader in narrow fabric production, the innovation and design that was used to produce the automotive seat belt and one piece woven airbag. All this knowledge has been combined to help develop and manufacture the technical webbing range. Combined with the advanced production methods, engineering processes and testing procedures, RidgeGear's height safety products are truly unique and simply the best.

RidgeGear take high tenacity multi-filament polyester yarns and weave them on site on state of the art high tech machinery. The product at this stage is white and tested to destruction to ensure its fitness for purpose. During the weaving, the product is vigorously tested by dedicated operators working to a carefully designed specification.

RidgeGear take their loom-state webbing and treat it down a state of the art continuous piece dye machine. The dyes are used to produce a colour-fast product and are tested and inspected continuously throughout the process. The dyes are specialist disperse dyes used in similar processes such as the automotive industry and in the production of life saving products such as the seat belt.

Quality Control
RidgeGear's continuous and rigorous testing does not stop there. We know this is a life saving product and testing is continued yet again, even after the production process is complete. The webbing will only be released for one of our products when it passes all the demanding tests of our height safety.

The latest Computer Aided Design techniques, coupled with the development of prototypes through the use of rapid prototyping methods, means that RidgeGear is able to combine new designs with tried and tested components. RidgeGear offers its range of harnesses with water repellant webbing. This also helps the webbing resist staining and contamination from oil and grease.
